Kilninian Schoolhouse lies adjacent to the coastal road, a few minutes walk from the secluded, sand beach of "Traigh na Cille", yet only 4 miles from the village of Dervaig. Set in approximately half an acre of sheltered and secure gardens, the schoolhouse offers respite through an individual holiday apartment converted from the original school room to provide accommodation for between 4 to 6 people.
The Isle of Mull is generally regarded as one of the most diverse and scenic areas in the whole west coast of Scotland, enhanced by colourful villages with thriving communities, ancient religious and historical sites and diverse marine, bird and wildlife. The beauty of the whole island is encapsulated in the northern coastlines of Loch Na Keal and Loch Tuath.
