Acharn lies in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, near Killin, Perthshire. Acharn holiday cottages are encompassed in a secluded courtyard and have been tastefully and thoughtfully equipped and decorated.

In addition to offering 4 star accommodations, Acharn offers a superb shared games/social room where evenings can be spent enjoying the company of friends both old and new. There is an indoor barbecue area and 'stock your own' bar. As this room is completely separate from the cottages, it causes no disturbance to those who seek peace and quiet.

The whole venture has been created with activity and comfort in mind, so, within the grounds, and for use by all the tenants, are the superb tennis court, a bar/games room, a children's playground, and both river and pond fishing. The fishing ponds are peaceful and tranquil areas to sit and picnic and the surrounding hills and woods can be explored right from the cottage.

Killin is a picturesque Highland village at the western end of Loch Tay and is just a 10 minute walk. Here you will find spectacular waterfalls, a Folk Museum, pub, cafe, restaurant and shops. Loch Tay is a well known watersports centre, and from Kenmore you can arrange several water-based activities.

The mountains in the area are spectacular and offer all levels of walking and hill climbing. Mountain biking trails run through the forests and the small glens are excellent for exploring by road bike.

All in all this is a very special part of Scotland, steeped in historical sites and visitor centres and with a wealth of activities for all ages.

The accommodation is non-smoking but the communal room can be used for smoking.
