The Watermill
The Watermill is situated on the Cowal Way walk, a very quiet single track road, set in 5 acres of mature woodlands
Makes for a very quiet, relaxing atmosphere, in our very comfortable rooms
Architect, to the Watermill, was William Leiper, designed as a working mill ,which housed 2 families, one upstairs, one down, this enables the bedrooms to have their own separate entrance, up the spiral staircase which is housed in the tower of the house. There is also a ground floor room also it's own entrance. Two of the bedrooms are very spacious, and have extra beds for children. All bedrooms are en-suite. An evening meal can be arranged by prior arrangement. Tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. A comfortable lounge with Sky TV is available for guests.
By car, a small hotel with restaurant not 2 miles away. Isle of Bute, via ferry, half an hour away. Dunoon 45 minutes. Inveraray 1 hour. Centre of the Mull of Kintyre, via ferry 1 hour away.
Directions:
Travelling from Donoon take the A885 onto the A815. After two miles turn left at sign post Colintraive on B836 for approximately 13 miles. At the T junction turn right, carry on for two miles until you come to the sign Kilmoden Stones. Here turn left into the village of Glendaruel, pass the Hotel on your left and take the second left passing the children’s playground. The Water Mill is approximately two miles on your left.
Travelling from Loch Lomond on the A82 through Tarbet. Take the A83 to the Rest And Be Thankful and carry on for approximately 4 miles where you then take the A815 to Donoon. At Strachur take A886 to Colintraive and travel for approximately 12 miles until you will see sign for Kilmoden Stones. Here turn right, then right again, passing the children’s playground. The Water Mill is approximately two miles on your left.
