The Barn, Glencloy - Getting There
Getting there from the Information Centre
Follow the main road North for approx one mile along the shore. Turn left up Glencloy Road (at sign for Auchrannie Spa ).Continue along this road , which becomes a track , approx ½ mile. Turn right after disused farm building. The Barn is the right hand white painted house to the rear of Glencloy Farm.

After leaving the ferry turn right (North) along the main road , along the shore . After the Golf Club turn left into Glencloy Road – at sign for Auchrannie Spa. Follow this road which becomes a track . Turn right after disused farm building, approx ¼ mile.The Barn is the right hand white painted house to the rear of Glencloy Farm
Getting There by Railway
A train from Glasgow Central meets the boat at Ardrossan Harbour. There are no rail facilities on the island.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Prestwick and Glasgow Airport are both reasonably close to Ardossan Harbour , approx 30 mins by taxi or car hire.
Getting There by Ferry
Caledonian Macbrayne ferries run from Ardrossan – Brodickthroughout the year, and Claonaig – Lochranza seasonally. Cars must be prebooked. Caledonian Macbrayne – Tel 08705 6570000
