Sir Andrew Murray House
Sir Andrew Murray House is owned by The Order of St. John a worldwide charity. The House is available to disabled groups, senior citizens and their careers or families. It is located in the charming village of Strathyre which is within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. There is a village shop and hotels, tea rooms within walking distance of the property.
This purpose built house opened in 1979 and is suitable for wheelchair users. Accommodation is on a self catering basis. There are 3 twin bedded units with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom facilities. There is a further 2 twin bedded rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom and 1 twin bedded room off main kitchen and it also has a bathroom. All bathrooms have showers and there are 2 baths. Also there is a separate shower for wheelchair users. There is a very large comfortable communal lounge and conservatory with wonderful views over to the hills. The main kitchen is well equipped for groups. There is also a large games room with a full size snooker table. There are gardens around the house with benches situated in various positions. Parking is available within the house grounds. The Holiday house can accommodate 12 people and is ideal for groups. The visitor to Strathyre can enjoy the tranquil and natural beauty of the area or follow in the footsteps of some of Scotland’s most famous sons – Rob Roy McGregor for instance, whose grave is in the churchyard at Balquhidder, just 3 miles
North of the village.
**Price £960 for full occupancy per week- Saturday to Saturday. £800 for a Monday to Friday stay.**
