Situated on the shores of Loch Long, Mansefield House has uninterrupted views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Loch Lomond lies 2 miles to the East. The house stands in an elevated position with large private gardens of mature shrubs, trees and lawns. An enclosed patio and lawned garden area leads off from the games room, with table and chairs, bench, and picnic table, and a large bbq. The large front lawn leads down to a quiet road, which separates the house from the beach and Loch Long. Private parking for five cars.
Mansefield House is a warm, comfortable and homely house perfectly suited to families with young children, groups celebrating a special occasion, as well as walkers and cyclists. We can offer professional catering for the night you arrive, a special waited upon dinner party, or every night.
Large gracious reception rooms with high ceilings and ornate cornicing lend themselves to entertaining, while the main character of the house is warm, comfortable and homely.

Arrochar is an attractive West Highland village, with a well supplied village shop, green grocer, post office, petrol station, coffee shop, and newspaper shop.
Mansefield House is situated at the quieter end of the village of Arrochar, off the main road. Attractive Luss on Loch Lomond 15 mins, Helensburgh, on the Clyde, 25 mins, Loch Fyne 20 mins, Inveraray 25 mins, Oban 1 hour, Glasgow 45 mins, Edinburgh 1.5 hours.
There is an abundance of things to do in the Arrochar and Loch Lomond area.
You will quite simply never get bored. The perfect base for touring, head west to Dunoon, Inveraray, Oban and the West Highlands, or take the opposite direction to Callander, Aberfoyle, Stirling and the Trossachs - all within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
There are numerous local low-level walks from the front door, as well as more demanding walks slightly further afield.
Conic Hill overlooking Loch Lomond is a fabulous walk for all the family.
The pebbled beach on the shores of Loch long is accessible from steps across the quiet road at the end of the garden.
Loch Long is tidal, and retreats far out at low tide revealing mussel beds that can be picked and eaten. Non-tidal Loch Lomond is just two miles away, with smaller pebbled beaches and shallow gradients into the water, perfect for paddling and swimming. Cruise Loch Lomond offer cruises on the Loch.
Ben Narnain and the Arrochar Alps, with 5 Munros in the immediate vicinity.
The Arrochar Alps include four Munros (mountains over 3000 ft), ideal for the more adventurous hill walker. Take a cruise on Loch Lomond; hire a mountain bike and explore the Argyll Forest Park; go pony trekking; play golf; hire a boat on Loch Long; go fishing; or visit one of the many visitor attractions in the area.
