Garden Cottage - Byth House
Set in an idyllic situation on a working farm, only 7 miles from Turriff, Garden Cottage is a light, bright, modern and immaculately presented spacious home away from home which has been decorated in neutral colours throughout.
Built in 2005 the centrally heated detached cottage, which welcomes returning guests year after year, is double glazed, very cosy and extremely well equipped.
The cottage has a private entrance, ample parking and a large landscaped garden laid mainly to lawn - ideal for children to play safely.
Set among mature chestnut and beech trees you can breakfast or bbq on the patio, which overlooks the large pond and garden, and with several acres of woodland to walk you are sure to spot some of the local wildlife – roe deer, pheasants, foxes and hawks can often be seen.
The large open-plan living/kitchen/dining area has a wood burning stove (logs are supplied), a TV, video, DVD player, Freeview and music centre. Doors from the lounge lead onto the patio, which is in full sun for most of the day, where you can relax on the garden furniture while you enjoy the surrounding countryside.
The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and electric cooker. The crockery is neutral and the cupboards house plenty of pots, pans, serving dishes and glassware. Fresh flowers and a Welcome Basket containing bread, butter, eggs, biscuits and wine will be in the cottage for your arrival as well as tea, coffee and milk. Extra groceries can of course be requested prior to your arrival, at an additional cost.
The large utility room has a washing machine and separate dryer and there is also an outdoor drying area.
There is ample space for boots, fishing and sports equipment in the front porch.
The cottage has two bedrooms; one is a double and the other a twin, plus a sofa bed in the living area, sleeping up to six in comfort. We can also provide a fold up bed and cot.
Laminate flooring throughout, with the exception of the bedrooms which have neutral carpeting.
Garden Cottage is very well situated for visiting the nearby coastal fishing villages and beautiful beaches as well as the Castle and Whisky Trails. There are also several excellent golf courses a short drive away as well as fishing and shooting in the area. The nearby towns of Turriff and Banff have good restaurants, cafes and supermarkets and the village of Pennan, made famous by the movie Local Hero, is a short drive along the coast.
Linen, towels and electricity are included in the price.
Patio furniture and gas bbq provided.
Discount offered for stays of longer than 2 weeks.
