Former workshop converted into two superb cottages in a beautiful rural location. Excellent base for walking, cycling, natural history, fishing or just relaxing. The cottages are approximately 2 miles from Shawhead village and 7 miles from Dumfries.

CORNLEE - Sleeps 5

Named after the hill it overlooks Cornlee provides comfortable open plan accommodation for five. Huge French doors lead into a light open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with downstairs shower room. A turning galleried staircase leads to one double, one twin, one single bedroom and a house bathroom. Cornlee is equipped to a high standard with oil fired central heating and an electric stove.

MALLABY - Sleeps 2

French windows lead into a cosy open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a stable door to the patio. A galleried staircase leads to a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Mallabay is well equipped, tastefully furnished and has electric heating and electric stove.

Both cottages have digital TV, DVD, washing machine, electric cooker and fridge/freezer facilities. All fuel bed linen and a set of towels per person are included in the price. One small pet per cottage allowed subject to agreement at extra cost.

Our cottages are south-west facing and enjoy uninterrupted views over the local hills with fantastic sunsets and peaceful outlook yet convenient to Dumfries with its many shops and amenities. The beautiful Solway Coast is just a half hour drive away and the area is steeped with Scottish History and many other visitor attractions.

Both cottages have a small garden and patio area, with outdoor furniture, barbecue and ample parking.

Join us with your bikes as we are centrally located for the '7 Stanes' mountain bike trails and we provide secure storage along with weather updates or for a more leisurely ride join the cycle by-way at the end of the drive.
