Drumblair

Drumblair is a detached bungalow situated in the attractive village of Gattonside, across the River Tweed from Melrose. It has two excellent restaurants in close proximity, and a pedestrian footbridge crosses the river to Melrose which has good quality local shopping and eating establishments. Melrose is renowned for its historic Abbey and for being the home of the famous "Rugby Sevens". The area is ideal for walking (the Southern Upland Way passes close by), cycling, salmon fishing or golf and there is an Active Sports Activity Centre nearby, just across the river. Abbotsford House, the home of Sir Walter Scott, is three miles away, and Edinburgh is an hour's drive.
The property has full gas central heating, and double glazing throughout. It has an entrance lobby leading to a large hall off which is a spacious lounge/dining room with views of the Eildon Hills. The breakfasting kitchen has separate electric hob, double oven and a microwave. A fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier are provided in the utility room. Off the back entrance lobby is a cloakroom with washbasin and WC. Both bedrooms are en-suite, one has a king size bed and a relaxing "spa" bath, the other has twin beds and a shower. There is a small garage, not suitable for car-garaging, but useful for bicycle storage, or drying wet outdoor apparel. Off street parking is in front of the garage. There is a paved area to the front and side of the bungalow, and garden furniture is provided.
Bed-linen and towels, gas and electricity are included. Well-behaved dogs are accepted by arrangement.
