Set in the tranquil hamlet of Drumguish within the spectacular Cairngorms National Park, the cottage offers peace and quiet with panoramic views to the Cairngorms yet is only a few minutes drive from Kingussie and all its amenities. A paradise for walkers, cyclists and wildlife watchers the cottage is adjacent to a network of paths and rides and is within walking distance of the RSPB reserve of Insh Marshes. The beautiful Upper Spey valley is “Monarch of the Glen” country accessible by road, rail or air with Inverness airport less than an hour away.
Feshieway Cottage, Drumguish
Location: in the tiny hamlet of Drumguish, off the B970, between Kingussie and the village of Insh
Access: Leave the A9 at Kingussie and go into and through the town to the turning for the railway station. Follow the B970 for about 2.5 miles. About 100m past Tromie Bridge take the right turn signposted to Drumguish. Go straight on at the crossroads and Feshieway cottage is about 50m on the right. If coming by train there is a station in Kingussie and Inverness airport is less than an hour away up the A9.
Parking: There is off-road parking for two vehicles.

Sun lounge with sofa, two easy chairs and TV but why watch TV with such a magnificent view over fields to heather moor, forestry and mountains beyond? Washing machine in cupboard. Storage heater and electric heater.
L-shaped living area with sofa, easy chair, upright chairs and dining table, open fire, TV and video. Kitchen area has electric cooker and extractor, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink/drainer as well as the usual cupboards and appliances. Storage heater and electric heater.
Passageway leads past the front door to a small bathroom including washbasin, toilet, bath with curtained shower, heated towel rail and wall-mounted heater.
Downstairs twin bedroom with en suite toilet and washbasin, electric heater.
Stairs lead from the passageway to two upstairs bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with electric heaters and magnificent views over surrounding countryside
Garden: The garden is mainly grass with a dry stonewall and plenty of space to sit outside in fine weather. Rotary dryer.
Services: The cottage has mains water and mains electricity. There is septic tank drainage with a soak away. There is no gas or telephone.
Availability and booking
The cottage is available all year round. Prices range from £188 for two people in the winter to £518 for six people in the July/August per week Saturday to Saturday. There is a discount of 10% for four people or less and of 15% for 2 people. The price includes all electricity and some logs and coal. Bed linen is included in the price but not towels. The cottage is non-smoking and, sorry, no pets. There is the possibility of short lets in the winter but please phone for details.
