Garden Bank Cottage

Garden Bank Cottage is on ground level. It has a contemporary open plan living room with a small kitchen / dining area, wood burning stove and French - windows out to the decked garden. It has un-interrupted views over beautiful rolling countryside to the Cheviot Hills.

It has a double bed room with a King size Austrian sleigh bed en - suite shower room and a twin bedded room + shower room. Garden furniture, gas bar b q, new all weather - tennis court, river walks and wild life. Kelso has unique shops and lovely eating places. It has easy walking access and is wheel chair friendly.

Garden Bank Cottage is situated in a quiet corner of the Scottish Borders with panoramic views over beautiful Scottish Borders rolling countryside, yet just 3 miles from Kelso, a bustling and attractive market town. The Northumberland coast and countryside, including Alnwick Castle where Harry Potter was filmed and Alnwick Gardens is an hour’s drive.

We offer weekly, fortnightly and short breaks. It is always worth calling for last minute availability. We try to be as flexible as possible. Please e-mail or call us – we are always pleased to help.

Start date is usually Saturday however we are pleased to consider specific requests.

Rates are inclusive of beds prepared, towels, electricity, c/heating, logs; sky TV, secure car parking, internet access, travel cot and high chair. Each cottage has cleaning materials, jeye cloths, tea towels, dish washer powder, soap powder, loo roll, tissues and fairy liquid.

There is an all-weather tennis court for guests to enjoy free of charge. Coaching is available @ £20 per hour (booking in advance is advisable as the coaches are busy people!).

We have an Organic farm growing potatoes, raspberries, strawberries, lettuce and herbs for ‘pick your own’. Free range organic eggs and lamb. Whole or ½ lamb can be purchased to take home for your freezer or whilst staying at the cottage. Also Maggie is a keen gardener so there is a selection of plants for sale which also make perfect presents.
