Dalbeattie and all its attractions is only 8 miles away, the market town of Dumfries is just 15 miles away and the Food Town of Castle Douglas, 16 miles away, has lots of independently owned specialist food shops, including the award-winning In House Chocolates, where you can pick up scrumptious handmade chocolates.
