Loch Linnhe and the Morven hills greet you when you wake up at Balcarres. This detached property stands overlooking a small piece of Scotland’s magnificent scenery. We make an ideal base for touring the Western Isles and offer excellent quality accommodation.
Fort William being known as the Outdoor Capital of the United Kingdom offers a variety of activities locally, mountain biking, fishing, golf and of course walking to name but a few, or if you just want to sit and relax and take in the scenery you can, the choice is yours.
Further a field there are more treats in store. The outstanding beauty of Glencoe and the Island of Skye await you. Inverness is a two-hour drive with a stop along the way at the Loch Ness Exhibition at Drumnadrochit.
Balcarres is situated just off the main A82 in a elevated position overlooking Loch Linnhe. We are within walking distance of the town centre where you will find a good choice of places to eat. All of our rooms are en-suite with television, clock radio, hairdryer and hospitality trays. Our guest lounge offers a place to relax and watch television or read.
We offer private parking and have a secure garage for the storage of bikes, snowboards and skiing equipment overnight.
Pets are welcome by arrangement. Rooms are available from 4pm onwards. Guests who wish to arrive any earlier must contact us direct.
