Airds Farm

Airds farm offers comfortable accommodation in a scenic rural setting. Guests may relax in our conservatory, with views overlooking Loch Ken and the picturesque village and church of Crossmichael, take a stroll along Airds Glen, or enjoy strolling around our south-facing gardens. Wildlife abounds, with roe deer frequently seen in the fields and woods. Red kites and buzzards fly overhead and many species of smaller birds attracted by our well-provisioned bird tables delight the watcher.
Airds is an ideal base for holiday-makers of all types, from highly active walkers and mountain bike enthusiasts, to those who enjoy a leisurely break visiting the many gardens, castles and other places of interest within a short journey time. Parts of the 70 acre farm are dedicated to environmental schemes such as growing crops to be left un-harvested for food and habitat, hedges, ponds and water margins. Guests will also enjoy engaging with our friendly pets, including 4 collie bitches and 2 cats. Hens and ducks provide fresh eggs and entertainment.
The accommodation is centrally heated and most rooms face south looking over the Galloway hills. A guest lounge with widescreen TV offers an alternative to the conservatory and at breakfast time guests have separate tables. Breakfast is cooked to order, supplemented with a wide selection of cereals and fruit, tea or coffee and toast.
