Ballat Smithy Cottage
Ballat Smithy Cottage is a charming, high quality, two bedroom semi detached cottage sympathetically created from the original workshops of Ballat Smithy, which was built about 1830 as one of the smithies for the Buchanan estates of the Duke of Montrose.
This south facing cottage is ideally situated midway between the tranquil east shores of Loch Lomond and the majestic grandeur of the Trossachs, on the edge of the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park, with views of the Campsie Fells and the surrounding fields and woods.
Furnished and equipped to the highest standard, the cottage is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. Argyll, Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh and Perth are all within easy reach.
Price includes electricity, linen and towels, and guests are supplied with a welcome pack of Scottish, Fair Trade and home made provisions.
Ballat Smithy Cottage is ideally situated for exploring central Scotland: Stirling and Glasgow are a half hour drive away, Edinburgh and Perth one hour, and much of Argyll, Perthshire, Ayrshire and South East Scotland are accessible in under two hours. For those who do not wish to venture far there are many wonderful scenic drives close to the cottage.
