Dundrum Cottage

Ideally situated near the centre of picturesque Port Logan and offering sweeping panoramic views of the sea and countryside, this 5-star holiday cottage promises an indulgent stay.

Set amidst 400 acres of working farmland and ancient woodland yet only half a mile from Port Logan with its sandy beaches, botanic gardens and superb walking and cycling routes, Dundrum Cottage offers luxurious accommodation for up to nine guests.

In 2008, the cottage was the first self-catering property in Dumfries & Galloway to be awarded VisitScotland’s prestigious 5-star award and since then the owners have strived to maintain that exceptional high standard. On arrival you will be welcomed with a complimentary hamper of delicious local produce, chilled champagne, tasty chocolates and pretty flowers!

The light and airy living area has comfy sofas, a wood-burning stove, and a large plasma television with a Sky and a DVD player. The kitchen and dining area is beautifully furnished with a huge farmhouse table and finished with oak cabinets as well as all the necessities you need for a stress free self-catering break. The conservatory enjoys sweeping views of the constantly changing seascape and is the best room in the house for relaxing - why not put your favourite song on the iPod, pour yourself a glass of wine, and relax as you watch the sun go down?

The two double bedrooms have king-size beds and an en suite shower room and the twin room and bunk room also has comfortable beds - the bunk beds are adult size and there is also a folding bed which can be added to the bunk room. The main bathroom has an indulgent double spa bath with underwater lighting and cushion head rests at both ends.

Outside, there is a large enclosed garden, ample private parking and a ramp to allow access for people with mobility difficulties as well as a seating area and a barbecue - prefect for al fresco dining. If you would like to bring your own horse , there are stables and a paddock available on the farm. Nearby, explore the scenic beauty of the Mull of Galloway, Scotland's most southerly point, and make the most of the areas fantastic walking and cycling routes and golf courses.
