Recently upgraded accommodation and catering has made this hotel a very desirable and excellent value for money centre in this historic harbour town. Extensive home cooked menu including All Day Menu. Carvery: Friday to Sunday. Vegetarians and children catered for. Full family licence. Live entertainment occasionally. (Main venue for Jazz Festival the middle week in June of each year. The last weekend in October we celebrate Bob Dylan).

Enjoy outdoor entertainment every Thursday in August in Harbour Square hosted by Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities with Kirkcudbright Tattoo August Bank Holiday Monday.

The function room is the ideal venue for family celebrations and those special events, like wedding receptions and anniversaries. We can cater 120 seated for meals. A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits.

Kirkcudbright, The Artist Town, bids you a warm welcome. In the late 1800's and early 1900's Kirkcudbright was home to Artists like E R Hornel, The Jeffs, Jessie King, Oppenheim and E A Taylor. Broughton House is a must, the former home of E R Hornel: further along is Green House, which was home to Jessie King and E A Taylor. Also visit the Tolbooth and Stewart Museum to see many paintings from the "Glasgow school".

August sees the "Homecoming Exhibitions" in Kirkcudbright Town Hall. This usually covers Scottish Artists' both the past and present with the most recent exhibition having come from the "Fleming Collection" in London.
