The Glenisle Terrace
Enjoy lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea and cakes (including a scrumptious cream tea with scones and locally made jam) while enjoying some of the best views on the island. On a warm summer evening this is also the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks.
The Glenisle Restaurant
The Glenisle Restaurant is popular with locals and visitors alike for its excellent cuisine, relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. Our menu features a blend of classic and modern dishes including fresh salads, seafood, hearty meat dishes, vegetarian selections and, of course, good Scottish beef. Add the perfect accompaniment from our large wine list and, to round off your meal, choose one of our succulent (and only slightly sinful) desserts.
Superior Rooms
Superior rooms are larger and have a direct sea view across Lamlash Bay to the Holy Isle. They have king-size double beds and a sitting area with armchairs and a coffee table. Bathrooms are well appointed with either a walk-in shower or a full bath with a shower over.
Standard Rooms
Most standard rooms look across the hotel’s walled garden and have indirect sea views. Some look across the roof of the old police station and do not have sea views. Standard rooms vary in size. Those on the second floor have sloping ceilings and period dormer windows. Bathrooms are well appointed with either a walk-in shower or a full bath with a shower over.
A charming single room
As you would expect in a characterful, period building, the rooms vary in shape and size. Those on the second floor have sloping ceilings and period dormer windows. Bathrooms are well appointed with either a walk-in shower or a full bath with a shower over.
The Snug
The Snug is proving a popular place for relaxing with coffee, tea, or drinks either during the afternoon or after a restaurant dinner. The area features exposed, sandstone walls and a large, original fireplace which was used for domestic cooking when this part of the hotel was actually the local police station.
Residents' Lounge
The residents’ lounge has comfortable arm chairs to curl up in, a selection of books and games should you so desire and windows which look over the sea towards the Holy Isle. It’s the perfect place to meet friends and unwind.
The Walled Garden
To the side of the hotel is our large, historic, walled garden which provides an oasis of calm around the hotel. Many of the bedrooms as well as the restaurant have views of the garden with its colourful flowering shrubs, expanse of lawn and towering palm trees.
