Millstones House

Located on one of the oldest streets in the heart of historic Kirkcudbright, this modern property offers a fantastic stay.

Built in 2005, Millstones House is a bright and spacious town house which has been thoughtfully designed with a traditional look and feel on the outside and finished to a high spec on the inside. The large living room has a cosy flame gas fire and comfortable settee - prefect for relaxing after adventurous days out. The stylish open plan dining and kitchen area is fully fitted with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and a hob and double electric oven (all utility costs are included in the rent).

Upstairs, the three beautifully decorated bedrooms sleep six people in two doubles (one with a king-size bed) plus a comfortable twin bedroom. The stylish bathroom has a free-standing bath with side-mounted mixer taps plus a spacious walk-in shower. Outside, there is a paved courtyard-style garden and a children's play park is just a short walk away. Ample on-street parking is also available.

The town and surrounding area retains an unspoilt charm and you are guaranteed a warm welcome from the friendly locals. Kirkcudbright is known as the Artists’ Town because of its artistic connections and there are several galleries, and exhibitions in the Town Hall and Tolbooth Gallery, which you can browse. There is also a good range of shops and several excellent restaurants, traditional pubs and cosy cafés as well as tennis courts, a golf course, a bowling green and a swimming pool. Nearby, the delightful surrounding countryside and beaches provide fantastic walking and wildlife watching opportunities - birdwatchers won’t want to miss the Caerlaverock Reserve and the Galloway Red Kite Trail.
