The Mill was built in 1790 for the production of ancient Tartan and was converted into luxury apartments in 1986. Our comfortable one bedroom first floor apartment is full of light and space and sleeps two comfortably in a King sized bedroom. Bed can be split to twin beds 2ft6ins each. The bathroom has a shower over the bath,wc and washhand basin. A large sitting/dining room faces over the sunny courtyard garden and has two double sofa beds for any extra visitors, and a dining table and chairs to seat up to six, Television with DVD and Freeview. WIRELESS BROADBAND. The galley kitchen has cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer dryer CD player. It is equipped for four people. Our guests have use of the private swimming pool at the Mill illustrated on our website.
The Mill is situated on the Banks of the Allan Water and is opposite rural Laighhills Park which can be accessed over the ‘Fairy Bridge. Excellent for walking and for entertaining children! A path leads along the riverside to Dunblane Cathedral, shops, banks, library ,local supermarket and railway station a few minutes walk. Local activities include hill walking, Golf (Gleneagles is 20 minutes away), historic sights such as Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Bannockburn. Falkirk Wheel and BlairDrummond Safari Park are a short distance away. This is an excellent location to explore the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Loch Katrine and walkers will enjoy Ben Ledi, Ben Lomond and Ben Vorlich all within 30 minutes. Excellent access to routes north to the Highlands Loch Ness and Inverness or West Coast, Oban and the Western Isles. Private Car Park. Secure entry door. Gs Central Heating. Double Glazed.
