Comfy living space

Off the hallway, you will come to the spacious main living room with solid oak floor, high ceilings and two large original sash windows to the front. A couple of large modern sofas and additional suede stools together offer comfortable seating arranged around a living flame gas stove. The coffee table, side table and console are all solid oak and attractive table lighting affords a warm and inviting living environment.

At the other end of the living room there is a solid oak extendable dining table and chairs seating 8.

On the oak console table in the living room you will find the Visitors book and the Welcome Pack which includes all the information you need on the house, local services and all the exciting things to do in the area.

Across the hallway will deliver you to the bright modern kitchen affording plenty of cupboard space. The kitchen is fully fitted with all the appliances including fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric cooker/hob, slim-line dishwasher & microwave. The kitchen has lovely views down the garden. (Since this photo was taken, the kitchen has been refitted in 2011 with cream cupboards, stainless steel hood and solid wood worktops).

Through the original green front double door on the gable wall leads you inward through a second inner door to the entrance hall with high ceilings and neutral décor. The original spiral staircase takes you up to the two upper floors.

On the first floor to the front of the house there is the large master double bedroom with original sash windows and shutters with splendid views over the attractive main square. This room has a solid oak double bed and boasts its own washstand and basin.

Off the first floor landing is a spacious single room attractively furnished with a single bed and solid oak furniture. There room benefits from a beautiful sash window overlooking the garden.

The family bathroom is also on this level, newly fitted in 2011 (since this photo was taken) with cream mosaic tiling and white bath suite. There is a modern electric shower over the bath. There is also now a brand new separate cloakroom fitted in 2011 with loo and sink off the kitchen downstairs.

From the first floor landing, the spiral staircase leads up to the top floor where there is the second large double room to the front with combe ceilings and large dormer bay window overlooking The Square.

Next door is a single room with views to the garden. Both these top floor rooms have been attractively furnished in light fresh neutrals.

The back door opens out to a large private garden laid largely to lawn with mature shrubs and fully enclosed by original stone walls. There is a lockable garden/bike shed with BBQ, garden furniture and remaining space sufficient for up to 4 bicycles.

11 The Square in the snow

This is the view of the house across the snow covered lawns of the beautiful tree lined main square. Within The Square, which is a conservation area, there are numerous original Georgian and Victorian houses and this is very attractive area in the town.

The house dates back to the mid 1800s and is Grade II listed being one of the original houses of the town. The house is arranged over three floors.

11 the Square is set back from the central road through the Square. There is ample free parking around the Square and it is possible to park directly outside the house in the small access road.

This is the view from the house across the main Square to the clock tower. There are beautiful mature trees lining the Square and it is a most attractive area of the town.
