Comrie not only is very central for visitors who wish to tour the surrounding Scottish countryside, but the village itself can offer a variety of activities and excellent entertainment. The main street offers a good selection of shops, tearooms and restaurants. The annual Comrie Fortnight at the end of July offers 2 full weeks of family entertainment and the Hogmanay Flambeaux welcomes in the New Year. For the more active there is a very scenic 9 hole golf course, fishing, bowling, lots of lovely cycle routes and walks for all abilities. The village has been a winner several times of Scotland in Bloom and in 2007 and 2010 achieved great heights winning Britain in Bloom’s best large village category.
