Maggie and Gordon extend a warm, friendly welcome to the 4 star Highfield Guest House, built in 1883 as a family home and retaining many original features. The property is located in the Newington District, close to Edinburgh University (King’s Buildings) and a short bus journey to the many attractions this beautiful Capital city has to offer.
Your hosts will do their best to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible; offering advice on how to get the most from your visit whether you are on business or on holiday.
There are 5 bedrooms all pleasantly decorated with 4 rooms en-suite - 2 double, 1 twin and 1 family room which has 1 double and 2 single beds. There is 1 single room with a separate private shower room. Each room has a television, radio alarm, hairdryer and wi-fi throughout. Towels, toiletries and a hospitality tray are also provided. An excellent breakfast menu is offered which includes a vegetarian option.
There are several quality Restaurants and Bars in the vicinity of the Guest House offering a varied choice of menu.
