Hoscote Estate Gardens & Grounds
Hoscote Estate is set in a secluded 450 acre site in the heart of the Scottish Borders, boasting magnificent views over open moor land. The beautiful walled garden has played host to wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, barbeques and picnics. The vast array of plant life in the walled garden has attracted some rare and beautiful butterflies as well as a huge variety of bird and insect species.
In recent years new fishing pond and picnic areas have been developed on the west side of the estate as a haven for local wildlife. The remainder of the estate is made up of moor land and woodland which have walks and trails mapped out for adventure seekers. Whilst on a walk or bike ride around the estate be sure to be on the lookout for red squirrels; thanks to a red squirrel conservation project this threatened species now lives again in the Hoscote woodland.
