Brackenbury provides an excellent base for working in the Stornoway area, and further afield. We offer free WiFi broadband access and the option of daily servicing, as well as being open to negotiating a price that reflects the economies of a longer stay. Please call or e-mail for details.

Brackenbury’s high quality self-catering accommodation is in an ideal location - close enough to walk into Stornoway along the coastal path, but far enough out to be undisturbed. Use it as a base to explore Lewis and Harris, or take a day trip to the southern islands. Well-behaved pets are welcome, and there are drying and storage facilities to suit sailors, walkers and cyclists.

Sandwick is on the right side of town for the airport and the ferry. Sit on the light, airy landing to watch the ferry going in and out of the harbour. You can walk down to the shore in five minutes to exercise the dog or tire out small children ready for bedtime. Try curling up on the big leather sofa in front of the surround sound TV and DVD/CD player or surf the net courtesy of free WiFi. Sit in the shed to watch the birds on the feeders, or just use it to store cycles.

Brackenbury is a sympathetically modernised croft house, with three bedrooms (two king size doubles and one twin), sleeping six people in comfort. There is an enclosed paved area for children and pets to play, as well as a grassy patch overlooking the croft land at the rear. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard, all household linen is provided free, the beds are made up ready for your arrival and the central heating makes the house very cosy, even in the worst gales the Outer Hebrides have to offer!
