Coynachie Guest House

Fiona and David welcome you to “Coynachie”, which derives from Gallic words meaning meeting place of the waters.
Coynachie is set in a beautiful tranquil wooded valley in rural Aberdeenshire. Come and enjoy a break in our large traditional stone built home. All our bedrooms and bathrooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard.
Enjoy a range of 5 circular way marked walks along burns and hills from our front door!
Easy access to Whisky, Castle and Coastal trails and National Trust properties. Golf, fishing and horse riding are also available nearby. Walkers and cyclists are very welcome and we offer secure storage and drying facilities.
* If you are interested in fly fishing on the famous river Deveron, please discuss with us in advance *
Coynachie is situated 5 miles from the historic market town of Huntly - with its ancient castle, local amenities, farmers market and excellent public transport links to Aberdeen and Inverness. Huntly is home of the clan Gordon.
Coynachie is surrounded by young native broadleaf trees such as oak, birch, rowan, juniper, scots pine and alder. New walks through the woods and wild flower meadows and bridges to cross the streams have been established for the use of visitors throughout the year. Beyond the house lies the Clashindarroch, which is one of the best snow holding forests in the country and has many Nordic skiing, walking and mountain biking trails.
Enjoy a range of 5 circular way marked walks along burns and hills from our front door!
