Croft Holidays offers three comfortable, well equipped, heated, self-catering cottages, which each sleeps 2-4. They are situated 0.5 mile above the village of Newtonmore in a quiet location with superb views over both the Cairngorm and Monadhliath mountains, with walking, cycling and wildlife opportunities straight from the front door.
Your hosts at Croft Holidays will be Ian Bradbury, a keen cyclist, photographer and mountain walker and his wife Anne. Anne is a Munroist who also enjoys gliding, mountain biking and skiing, as well as being an amateur artist. Between us we should be able to answer most of your queries!
The area is in the Cairngorm National Park and is where the BBC Monarch of the Glen series was filmed. It also offers excellent fishing, golf and horse-riding.
Croft Holidays offers three, well equipped, heated, self-catering cottages, which each sleeps 2-4. All cottages have a bedroom, shower room and multi-purpose main room with TV, microwave, cooker, fridge, settee and table and chairs. Cooking is by gas in Barn and Stable Cottages and electricity in Loft Cottage. All cottages have now been newly decorated, Stable cottage in 2008 and Loft and Barn cottages in 2010.
Each cottage has a bedroom - in Barn Cottage it has a double bed. In Loft Cottage the bedroom is upstairs and it has a new kingsize bed with and a 3' single bed and a single futon bed. Stable Cottage has twin 3' beds in the living room and 3' bunk beds in the bedroom.
The layout of these cottages has been designed to offer families and groups flexibility should they wish to stay together at one location. If all three cottages are booked by the same group, a reduced rate will be applied. Electricity is included in the rental. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Stable Cottage has a gentle ramp to the door, wider doors and a shower room suitable for wheelchair users. There is a laundry area, including washing machine and drying room, for use by guests at Croft Holidays. There is plenty of parking space in the grounds. For picnics or playing there is a large grassy area with views south over the Spey valley to the Grampian Mountains. In summer the garden has a beautiful flower meadow.
Wi-fi is available and pets are allowed.
