Lochside Bed & Breakfast
Small chalet-style B & B situated on the edge of the Cormonachan ancient woodland in a quiet setting on the shores of Loch Goil. Ideal for holiday-makers looking for a break “away from it all”. Red squirrels visit our bird feeders every day and, if you are lucky, you may see a fox, roe deer, seals or even a golden eagle. Two bedrooms, both with en suite facilities, guest lounge/breakfast area, large garden running down to loch shore, veranda and shore-side decking.
Lochside Bed & Breakfast has one double room with en suite facilities comprising bath with power shower, wash-hand basin and toilet and one twin room (the beds can be converted to a double bed if required) with en suite facilities comprising walk-in power shower unit, wash-hand basin and toilet. There is a heated towel rail in the twin bedroom. Both rooms have alarm clock, hair drier and dressing table. The bedrooms lead into the guest lounge which has a large picture window facing the loch. Breakfast is served in the separate dining room. There is a table, wood burning stove, HDTV with surround sound, DVD/CD player, video recorder and Sky with a wide selection of discs and tapes and a small fridge for guest use. Free Wi-Fi is available. Smoking is not permitted in the house but there is a veranda where smokers may puff away to their heart’s content! Guests are welcome to use the garden which runs down to the shore where there is a spectacular view from the decking, looking down the loch to Loch Long. The property is on one level and may be suitable for persons with certain disabilities. Lochgoilhead has a Post Office, shop and hotels and is about 4 miles from Tigh-na-Cala. There is a nine-hole golf course at Drimsynie as well as pony-trekking, gym with resident fitness instructor, swimming, ice rink and indoor bowling. Lochgoilhead has a bowling green and multi-court facility and you can hire a bike or boat. The Lochgoilhead Centre and Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre both have day courses in various activities. There are also many walks where you can enjoy the scenery and wildlife.
