A charming 2 bedroomed 2nd floor flat, on the seashore in the old part of the town designated as a conservation area. The flat, which has been recently been re-furbished, has two double bedrooms, a sitting room, shower room and kitchen with dining area. It is situated right next to the sea and has stunning panoramic views across Stonehaven bay from the dining area. It is fully equipped with a washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave and an internet computer. The flat is about 150 m from the scenic harbour, 5 mins walk from a full range of shops, and 20mins walk from the main line train station( 15 min ride to Aberdeen).

Stonehaven is a resort that remains popular as a family destination for short breaks. It is a seaside town with a harbour and a long sandy beach. The flat overlooks the beach, and so offers access to a whole range of activities in the area. For those who want to travel a little further there is good access to Aberdeen and the towns of the Dee Valley. The flat gives a good starting point for walking and cycling tours of the area and there are 2 or 3 excellent walks starting from the front door. Stonehaven is a centre for folk music and boasts an annual festival (June) and has weekly events and its own specialist folk music shop, about a ¼ mile away in the town centre.

The flat offers comfortable accommodation for four people, or would suit a family with 2 or 3 children. It has a separate sitting room and the dining area which is off the kitchen overlooks the boardwalk and has superb views of the sea. There are many entertainments available with Stonehaven itself, and it can provide a suitable starting point for touring the wider attractions of the area. Golfing, birdwatching, hill walking, cycling and riding opportunities are all available within a 10 mile radius. Further afield are many interesting Scottish towns – Banchory and Balmoral to the West, Montrose and Dundee to the South. It is a mere 3 hours drive to Inverness.

There are a variety of restaurants and coffee shops in Stonehaven, including a famed Fish restaurant on the harbour, and 2 award winning ‘chip shops’. There’s plenty of fish in the area ! For those who prefer to swim, Stonehaven has an Olympic sized, outdoor, sea-water, heated swimming pool, open throughout the summer months. There are many walks from the front door, to woodland, along the Carron River, along the boardwalk and along the coastal path to Dunnattor Castle (20 mins). For those who like to play sport there is an 18 hole golf course on the far side of the bay (situated on the Highland Fault) and there are several other renowned golf courses accessible from Stonehaven. There is also a sport centre, gym, tennis courts and indoor crown bowling facility. More adventurous sportsmen chose to try surfing in the bay on rougher seas. The whole area offers opportunities to enjoy the outdoor life and there are cycling routes, beaches, bird sanctuaries and hillside walking all within easy reach of the centre of Stonehaven. Every New-Years eve there is a renowned fireball event outside the flat in High street, and in every year in the second week of July there is a popular folk festival.
