Benwell House

Benwell house sleeps up to 12 people in comfort.
It is one of the original fishing houses built in the late 18th century and we have recently refurbished it with a beautiful new kitchen, full central heating and a fabulous wet room plus four separate toilets including one on the ground floor.
However it still retains a solid traditional feel which visitors enjoy.
It has spacious rooms with views from all 4 bedrooms of Loch Broom and the mountains beyond.
Situated in the centre of the picturesque coastal village of Ullapool it is a minute’s walk from great shops, pubs and a fine selection of restaurants.
The harbour is very close and has the local fishing boats arriving each evening with their catch of prawns, lobster or white fish, also the Hebridian ferry has a regular passage to Lewes on the Western Isles.
Perfect for relaxing, walking, climbing, golf, tennis, fishing, stalking, sailing and excursions to the North coast and Hebridean Islands.

Benwell House has a new central heating system with plentiful hot water providing a warm, comfortable stay.

A hallway with plenty of space to put boots and hang up coats with a separate toilet under the stairs.
A large living room with an open fire and comfortable seating allowing for games and chatting over the days activities with a glass of wine or a wee dram of whisky
There is also a double sofa bed in this room.
A dining room with seating for up to 12 which leads conveniently onto the large kitchen.
The kitchen is new and well equipped and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, large fridge freezer (70/30) an electric oven and easy clean ceramic hob.
It looks out onto the attractive, fully enclosed, rear garden and the backdrop of the mountains beyond.
There is a large flat lawn for ball games or just relaxing with ample seating and a barbecue area for the men to show off their cooking skills.

There is also a separate room with toilet and wash hand basin on the top floor.

Ullapool village was designed by famous architect Thomas Telford and has a great feeling of space and history.
Ullapool has a leisure centre with a gym, heated pool and a range of activities available for children and adults alike and we supply four entry tickets for our guests use free of charge.
