Built in 1891 Argyle House is steeped in history, first known as the Argyle Temperance Hotel. It has evolved to a cosy bed and breakfast retreat in this charming village which is centrally located in the Cairngorm National park.
Tomintoul, located on the Crown Estate of Glenlivet, is the highest village in the highlands, lying at a height of 1170 ft (356m), and proudly claims to be the North East gateway to the park. Putting you on the doorstep of some of the most wonderful scenery and activities that Scotland has to offer!!
Argyle Guest House has a total of 6 rooms offering a variety for almost anyone – family rooms – twin rooms as well as double rooms, simply decorated and very spacious. Four of the rooms are en-suite leaving only two with a large shared bathroom on the same floor. Each room boasts a television and tea and coffee making facilities, as well as complimentary WI-FI. Cots are available on request and with prior permission bring your dog on holiday with you.
In the breakfast room there is a buffet of cereals, yoghurt and berries with fresh home made bread, and then you can choose from one of our hot options such as the full cooked Scottish breakfast, slow cooked creamy oats, smoked salmon and eggs or eggs benedict.
