Two luxurious 5 star self catering cottages with stunning views overlooking the spectacular beach of Scarista and the ocean views beyond. Gannet and Fulmar cottages benefit from a Jacuzzi bath, Steamshower and little Sauna. The cottages enjoy privacy, each on its own ΒΌ acre plot with private car park. At a walking distance from all 5 Northton beaches and Scarista beach!
Gannet Cottage and Fulmar Cottage are specially designed for families with children or for one or two couples. Our honeymoon guests were very pleased having a spacious luxurious cottage to themselves! Gannet has two bedrooms, one with an excellent king-size bed and three single beds. The bedrooms and lounge all have oak flooring throughout with underfloor heating.
The luxurious kitchen is well equipped, the spacious lounge with panoramic views has contemporary design furnishings. In addition: LCD TV, dvd/cd, wireless internet access, air to air heating, i-pod docking and airconditioning.
Rent is including all electricity, bedlinen, towels, WIFI and cleaning service.
The nearest beach is Northton beach one and great for walking, swimming, body boarding and kite surfing. You might enjoy magnificent sunsets, or when lucky spot seals, otters or playing porpoises at Scarista beach.
Fishing: We can advise you for the best fishing spots for rock and seafishing and also permits are available for flyfishing (in the lochs).
Excursions can be made to the mystic island of St. Kilda and the impressive bird colonies of Gannets, Puffins and Fulmars.
Suzan is an artist and art teacher, so for inspiring private painting courses you can always enquire.
Harris Golf Club- Voted as one of the top 12 courses at Scarista, is only a five minutes drive away and is surely one of the world's finest settings for the game of golf.
Children love beachcombing, catching schrimps and crabs and little fish at the pools and playing at the beach.
Sandcastling with children is also an option, we have sculptured a 6 meter long dragon at Northton beach!
Good local food is available from various restaurants like the award wining Scarista House, and the Anchorage restaurant, the Harris Hotel etc,
Places to visit: The Callanish Standing Stones, Black house villages, The Butt of Lewis and various Art Galleries.
