Dinnet House
A mile long avenue of lime trees opens up to reveal the Victorian Shooting lodge, on the banks of the river Dee, which has been in the family since 1896.
History and family meet in fine baronial style. A welcoming grand hall leads to the morning room where everyone gathers for afternoon tea and before dinner. The large classical dining room, which has a table that can sit 22 and a smaller table for 8 has wonderful views over the terrace. A treat of homemade shortbread awaits in the three cosy & comfortable bedrooms, two of which have stunning views down to the river Dee: the other looks north to the hosts’ very own mountain, Morven. Within its own vast estate the grounds alone around the house extend to 50 acres, including a tennis court, an amazingly colourful display of daffodils in the spring and glorious rhododendroms and azaleas in June.
