Creag Bhalg, Mar Lodge Estate - Images
Mar Lodge Estate is part of the core area of the Cairngorms National Park, internationally recognised as the most important nature conservation landscape in the British Isles.
Visitors come to Mar Lodge Estate, as they have done since Victorian times, to walk, climb, watch wildlife, ski or simply enjoy the scenery.
Mar Lodge was built in Victorian times and retains many of the features of its heyday as a hunting lodge. The apartments and public areas were refurbished in the 1990s and offer guests the opportunity to relax in an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.
Close to Mar Lodge, Creag Bhalg and Claybokie form their own exclusive small estate, comprising two exquisite houses, private in the extreme and beautiful in every respect.
The wood-pannelled lounge boasts an open fire, and plentiful comfortable seating.
The antlers on the wall offer an authentic sense of the Victorian sporting lodges that originally attracted visitors to the Estate.
The kitchen/dining room comfortably seats 8, and is well equipped for all modern cooking needs.
Views from the dining table are simply magnificent. Guests can enjoy vistas across the River Dee to Glen Ey: the perfect inspiration for your day ahead.
