Muirfad Farmhouse which is situated close to Newton Stewart and within walking distance of Kirroughtree outdoor centre,is on the edge of Galloway Forest Park,which has been officially unveiled as the first Dark Sky Park in the UK. The house is overlooked by Cairnsmore and offers a warm and comfortable welcome to guests.
Muirfad is a typical Galloway Farm house believed to have been built in the mid 19th century by the Duke of Bedford, and retains many of its original features but with the comforts of modern day living.
All bedrooms are en-suite and have satelite/digital tv, Tea and coffee making facilities, There is also a well appointed sun lounge for guest’s relaxation and pleasure.
The house is situated in over an acre of mature gardens and is conveniently placed within easy access of Newton Stewart and Creetown Via the A75 by car or bus. Muirfad Farmhouse is a perfect base for exploring the hidden Gem of Scotland which is Dumfries and Galloway.
We are ideally placed for site seeing i.e castles, Gardens, coastal areas, and the Market town of Newton Stewart with a variety of shops, Restaurants, Cafe’s, Cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool and riverside walks ,Golf, Fishing, Cycling and Walking.
