Getting there from the Information Centre
From Kirkcudbright go out of town over the iron bridge follow this road past the creamery and about half a mile further on look for the Twynholm signpost. Turn right. Fllow this road to the end and turn left. At th end of this road you will see a church on your right. Turn right and The Star Hotel is at the bottom of this road on the righthand side.
Getting There by Car

From the South. Come off the M6 Motorway at Gretna and take the A75. Twynholm is situated 25miles the other side of Dumfries. The Star is on the main road through the village.
From the north. Come off the M6 motorway at Junction15 and follow the signs for Dumfries. Once you reach the A75 follow the signs for Stranraer. Twynholm is situated 25 miles from Dumfries and is well signposted.
Getting There by Railway
The nearest rail terminal is Dumfries. There is a good bus service form Dumfries to Twynholm. Transport can be booked from the hotel at an additional charge.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Glasgow or Prestwick airports are the nearest to Twynholm.
Getting There by Ferry
The nearest ferry terminal is in Cairnryan. Take the A77 onto the A75 and follow the signs for Dumfries. Twynholm is well signposted and is situated just off the A75. We are about 70 miles from the ferry. The Star Hotel is on the main road through the village.
