With picturesque villages and towns dotted along the way. Solway View Caravan & Camping Site is located with stunning views over the estuary of the River Dee and into the Solway Firth. An ideal destination for individuals, families and groups for holidays and short breaks. Solway View is a centrally located base from which to explore the local area, the towns of Gatehouse-of-Fleet, Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas are all nearby. Set within our 330 acre working farm, the coastal farmland is easily accessed through our farm trail. Walk the adjoining woodland with its ever changing colour scheme and you could even meet some roe deer. Enjoy the tranquillity of the little secluded bays along the way. If your interests are outdoor pursuits and activities or you simply wish to relax, make your way to Solway View.
Our Camping & Caravanning Club Certificated Site is an ideal small Site.
We welcome Tourers, Caravans and Tents. All our pitches are very spacious. The Caravan pitches have a picnic bench and Brick BBQ area. We also have electric hook-up points available and hard
standing.
The Camping pitches also enjoy the quite location and have a Camp Fire Pit.
We also have 3 large Wigwam Cabins. Each will sleep 4-5 people. The Wigwams are a little like a wooden tents with some home comforts included. They have electricity for heating, light and cooking.
Solway View Wigwams offer a fantastic way to enjoy the great outdoors, comfort camping all year round

Out and About
Solway View is an ideal base from which you can discover and enjoy the countryside and local villages and towns. The Artist Town of Kirkcudbright is always worth a visit and can be reached following a fantastic coastal route, take the car or for the more energetic, go on foot or by bike. Whilst there check out the Wildlife Park or take a boat trip up the river on "lovely Nelly". There are also Art Galleries, fantastic shops, supermarkets and places to eat.
