Red House Dornie is a large lochside house, dating from the 1800s, on the stunning West Coast of Scotland. It is available as a weekly-let self catering property for up to 12.
The house faces the Isle of Skye and is a 5 minute stroll from the world famous Eilean Donan Castle.
A wealth of activities are right on your doorstep - walking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, scuba diving, horse riding and even llama trekking! And the scenery is breathtaking.
The Red House has recently been renovated to a high standard by its new owners. The house has six bedrooms (sleeping 12), 2 bathrooms, lounge with real fire, large dining room, utility and a well equipped kitchen. The front garden overlooks Loch Long and the large rear garden is private and has plenty of space for relaxing or fun!
The house is in the village of Dornie, where three lochs meet, Loch Long, Loch Alsh and Loch Duich. It's 9 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye bridge, and 11 miles from picturesque Plockton. Dornie has a traditional pub, a hotel, village Post Office & shop. Eilean Donan Castle, reputedly the most photographed castle in Scotland, is a few minutes walk away and can be seen from the front garden.
The house is ideal for large groups, family gatherings and especially celebrations! And well behaved pets are welcome. The house is strictly no smoking.
The location has some of the most varied wildlife in the UK – seals are often seen in the loch, and bird life is abundant. It’s a wonderful location for every level of walker.
