The Berkeley

The Berkeley Hotel was built in 1803 by the Hamilton family located at Wellington square a minute’s walk to the town centre and just a 2 minute walk from the beach.
The Berkeley is a small stylish hotel, family owned and run, and here we hope to re-capture the essence of true hospitality. All the bedrooms are individually designed where comfort and quality has taken priority using only the best in quality furniture, soft furnishings, beds and linen throughout. we have tried to think of everything you may need whilst away from home but as well as the usual room facilities we have added a few extra's to make your stay more comfortable, such as dressing gowns and slippers and GHD hair straightners and heated rollers are available for your use upon request. Most of the rooms have DVD players inbuilt into the flat screen TV's and we even have a library of family DVD’s available for your enjoyment.
The first phase of the Berkeley hotel is now open so take advantage of our Autum mid week offer book 2 nights and get the 3rd night.
Situated in the centre of Ayr amidst what is aptly known as a golfers paradise being more than 20 golf courses within a 30 minute drive in any direction
2 mins walk from the beach and 1 minute to all amenities in the town centre.

Full Scottish breakfast is all inclusive and we only use fresh local produce from Ayrshire, or if you prefer a lighter start to the day you can choose from the plentiful selection of fresh continental produce, the choice is yours. Served from 7am. To 10am. In the dining room and weather permitting on the Terrace, however, if you fancy room service you can have a real treat and enjoy breakfast in bed
For Resident guests staying with us this Autumn taking advantage of the mid week special we have introduced an early dinner menu packed full of Traditional Scottish dishes. Early dinner is served between 5pm. and 7pm. daily.
