The Old Stables is a beautiful listed building which has been meticulously restored to provide luxury accommodation for up to 6 people within the picturesque historic village of Cockburnspath.
From The Old Stables you can enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside while situated in the heart of the village of Cockburnspath. The Southern Upland Way begins within the grounds of the garden.
Cockburnspath is easily accessible from Edinburgh within 35 minutes by car or 30 mins by regular train service from Dunbar or North Berwick. Staying at The Old Stables you are located ideally for visiting East Lothian, Borders and Berwickshire. The picturesque coastline with its coves, harbours and fishing villages, high dunes and golden sands are ideal for walks and picnics.
Muirfield (venue of the Open Championship) is 25 minutes away with a further 15 golf courses within a 30 minute drive of the cottage.
For non-golfers, the vibrant High Streets of Dunbar and North Berwick - with the abundance of quality shops, art galleries and restaurants - are only 9 and 20 minutes drive by car.
The cottage is ideally arranged to host six adults in comfortable surroundings. The bright sunny lounge with vaulted ceilings is tastefully furnished and decorated, and is equipped with flat-screen TV, DVD player and stereo system.
The property has a beautifully fitted kitchen/breakfast room with French doors opening out to the front patio, and an open plan family/dining/living area. There are two generous double and/or twin bedrooms each with their own ensuite shower rooms, and the third bedroom features a wide balcony to the front and a separate luxury bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a 5 burner gas hob, eyelevel grill and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, washer and dishwasher. There is also ample storage space within the house.
Car parking space is available with the cottage, making loading and unloading simple and straightforward.
