A charming 3 bedroom (sleeps 4) holiday cottage in the picturesque village of Lundin Links, 3 minutes walk from the sandy beaches of Largo Bay and the stunning views over the Firth of Forth. This attractive region has excellent walking and cycling routes along with a superb bird watching estuary and numerous world class golf courses and is 12 miles from St Andrews, the home of golf
An ideal location for golfers, walkers, cyclists, bird watchers, those wishing to relax and unwind or to use as a base to tour the East Neuk of Fife and beyond. The village boasts 2 golf courses, the 18 hole Lundin course and the 9 hole Lundin Ladies (the oldest, independent Ladies course in the world – gentleman players welcome) as well as tennis courts, bowling green and sports club. There is a variety of shops including an award winning butcher and baker, chemist, hairdresser, newsagent who will deliver your papers, coffee/gift shop and a bank. There are also 5 eating and drinking establishments within easy walking distance. There is a small harbour in the adjoining village which is also the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk, Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe. His house and statue is a 10 minute walk from the cottage.
The cottage comprises on the ground floor: living room with gas fire, Sky TV/DVD, radio, books and games. There is a well equipped kitchen with electric fan oven, hob, micro wave, large fridge and separate freezer. This leads through to the dining room. The small utility room leading to the enclosed paved garden area contains washing machine, sink, toilet and shaving point.
The second storey has a bathroom with 3 piece suite, overhead electric shower and shaver point. The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed which can be split into 2 separate single beds dependant on requirements. The second bedroom has a ¾ bed and finally there is a small single room.
Hairdryers are provided in each room. All bedding and towels are supplied and changed weekly at no extra charge.
The enclosed seating area at the rear of the property has a rotary clothes dryer, garden furniture, gas barbeque and a glass ‘sit-oot-ery’ for the cooler evenings.
This leads to the private off-road parking facility within the gated grounds of the cottage. Gas central heating throughout and hot water provided by combi-boiler. Gas and electricity are included in the price.
No phone available, but good mobile coverage and phone box located 300 meters away.
