We invite you to share our holiday hideaway – an imaginatively and sympathetically restored fisherman’s house in a spectacular harbour edge location with stunning sea views and the buzz of a marina on the door step.
Boat House is a beautiful home-from-home with all the amenities you would hope for including full gas central heating and double glazing, a cosy lounge, fully fitted kitchen with Smeg appliances and free standing Smeg fridge-freezer, gas hob, oven, dish washer, washer/drier & microwave with all the crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment you will need.
For your entertainment and comfort there is a TV, DVD player, CD Hi-Fi & free sat, books, games, DVDs, CDs, kids toys, hair dryer, iron & ironing board. Lovely bed linen and towels are supplied.
There is also a small outside area overlooking the marina with a table and chairs ideal for al fresco dining. The master bedroom on the first floor has a queen-size bed and a door which opens giving you panoramic views across Findochty and the sea beyond. There is another lovely double bedroom with room for a travel cot and a third bedroom perfect for children furnished in a fun coastal theme with bunk beds. We also supply a travel cot, high chair and changing mat.
Boat House is always cleaned to the highest standard and a free welcome pack awaits you on your arrival.

Findochty is a picturesque and unspoiled village nestled on the North East Coast of the Moray Firth, near Cullen and Buckie, with brightly painted houses and beautiful deserted beaches. It is the perfect get-away with miles of coastal and country walks, lovely sandy and shingle beaches. There is no need to leave the village if you don’t want to with its very well stocked General Store (for milk, freshly baked bread and the Sunday papers!) a chemist, post office, hairdresser and pub serving food all within a couple of minutes stroll from Boat House. Sizeable supermarkets are located in Buckie, a 5 minute drive away.
On fine days the harbour comes to life with pleasure and small commercial boats bringing in creels and catches of fish while the locals keep an eye on the children jumping into the harbour, playing in the rock pools and building sand castles.
There is a real sense of community in the village with many events organised throughout the year. There are also two great children’s playparks in the village. For those afternoons out, many attractions and amenities are within easy reach.
Strathlene Golf course with its stunning cliff top location is within walking distance or a couple of minutes by car. We supply a folder in Boat House with lots of information on local attractions.
Just a few things we enjoy!
1. Eat the famous homemade Cullen ice-cream or Cullen Skink in its home town! – 2 miles
2. Buy a freshly caught lobster from a local fisherman – on your doorstep!
3. Enjoy some retail therapy at Johnston’s Woollen Mill, Baxter’s Vistor’s Centre or Brodie Country Fayre – 20 to 40 minutes by car
4. Take a boat trip and watch the dolphins play – 2 miles
5. Treasure hunt the rock pools for sea glass and shells and catch sight of tiny crabs and star fish – 1 minute walk
6. Enjoy locally caught fish and chips for tea – 1 minute walk
7. Get active on the myriad of local golf courses, fish and catch your own tea or cycle along the miles of old railway line
8. Visit nearby Macduff for the excellent aquarium and sea life centre and take in an art exhibition at historic Duff House – 25 minutes by car
9. Walk for hours with only the waves and seagulls for company......
10. Watch the sun set over the sea – from your bed!!!
