The Bothy Self Catering Cottage

The Bothy is a comfortable fully equipped 2 bedroom cottage in an elevated position on the Island of Luing with stunning views across the Sound of Luing. The Island is perfect for walking with an abundance of flora and fauna. The Island Trust has produced free leaflets with different walking routes around Luing. There are iron age forts and information plinths in various locations explaining the industrial and agricultural heritage of the Island. Luing is only 30 minutes from Oban and a 3 minute ferry journey from the Isle of Seil. The perfect location to relax and enjoy island life but still a great place to base yourself for touring the surrounding area.

The cottage is fully furnished and decorated to a high standard. It has a living room, spacious kitchen / dining room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. It is fully double glazed and features electric "Total Control" central heating, making it extremely warm and comfortable. The cottage has private parking and it’s own garden with washing area and outdoor seating we also provide a barbeque with gas included.
The living room has an attractive brick fireplace with an electric stove. There is a Freeview TV, Video Recorder and a DVD player with a selection of films , CD player, books and board games for rainy days.

The fully equipped kitchen with dining, features all the modern conveniences including a fridge, washing machine, chest freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker and a microwave.
Both bedrooms are upstairs. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds which can be linked to form another double if required. Both rooms have ample storage facilities. All the beds are supplied with linen and duvets.
The full size bathroom includes a shower over the bath and towels provided.
We offer a very personal service as we live in the adjacent property and can be on hand if necessary.
Our guests can have a relaxing holiday to enjoy the beautiful views on their doorstep or to use the cottage as a base to explore the surrounding area.
