Getting there from the Information Centre
From Lanark TIC take the A73 signposted Carluke. In Carluke take right hand turn (James Street) signposted A721 Peebles, at roundabout take second exit (A721). Continue along A721 until zebra crossing at Carluke High School & Leisure Centre, turn left at school enterance, Douglashall B&B is situated to the right.
Getting There by Railway
Carluke is served by one of the major lines from Glasgow to Edinburgh with a regular schedule for Carluke. Trains from the South stopping at Motherwell enables a transfer to the Carluke line with trains running every half hour. Edinburgh trains via Carluke is a more limited schedule although an alternative route is available through Clelland with a 15 minute taxi journey to Carluke.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Glasgow airport offers a train connection route to the city centre and onwards to Carluke, Edinburgh have scheduled a train link to the city centre in the future, however, a short coach trip takes you to the city centre for onward travel to Carluke. Road journeys from the airport can be by either car or coach with connections for coach transfers to Carluke. Car journey directions are as shown above
