Hello and welcome to Daisybank Flats at Kilchattan; if you are looking for a quiet place to chill out and you choose to stay here in this peaceful seaside village we are sure you will enjoy your stay and experience some of the lovely coastal scenery, beaches and walks that the island has to offer. The completely refurbished first floor flats offer modern compact accommodation: lounge/dining rm (with views across the bay) dbl bed, kitch, shower rm and toilet. The flats which sleep 4 comfortably (5 with the built in bunk bed), are located in the middle of the village which has a shop for basics and a hotel within a short walk. Rothesay (8 miles) has most of the other shops you may need including a Somerfields & Co-op that is open until 9. There are 2 petrol stations, several restaurants, pubs and bars, a small leisure pool, cinema, museum, Mount Stuart House, Rothesay Castle, 3 golf courses, loch fishing, the West Island Way, bicycle hire and a cottage hospital (not to mention KBay’s own small airstrip !). The main sandy beaches apart from Kilchattan are Dunagoil, West Bay, Scalpsie, St Ninians, and Ettrick Bay; with smaller beaches at Ascog, Kerrycroy & Glencallum bay with its small lighthouse. You can access Colintraive, the Kyles of Bute, Tighnabruaich and Kames from the short ferry crossing at the north of the island should you wish to venture further.
