Stunning views from around the property.

The house was built in 1832 and early in the 20th century a woodland was planted as a windbreak ... it does its job admirably however it does limit the views from the windows somewhat.

A short walk to the end of the drive will reveal views to Ailsa Craig (seen here), Isle of Arran and the Mull of Kintyre and to the Galloway Hills along the Tig Valley in the opposite direction.

Winter wonderland.

Despite the cold, Balkissock Lodge was practically snow free these last two winters. Whilst the rest of the country was snowed in, we were enjoying this stunning view from the garden.
