Wester Camusvrachan B&B

Set in the highlands longest and most beautiful glen. Wester Camusvrachan was an estate croft up until the 1980s. Facing southwards it stands alone where the glen widens. It retains many characteristics as a working croft. It is a small cosy eco-friendly family home. From the working garden you have fine views of the mighty Ben Lawers, Perthshire's highest mountain.

James & Fiona invite you to their rural cosy home for people who love the green life. It is a peaceful bolt hole or a space for fun and adventure. We run a small personal B&B and have the following rooms to offer you: One en- suite room. This can be either made up as a double or twin room One twin (bunk beds) room with space for pull-out third bed or cot There are no TVs or kettles in the bedrooms but there is a comfy lounge with a TV/ open fire and the kettle is always on the wood burning Rayburn! There is wireless internet access Black Labrador Bramble is happy to welcome other dogs. Dinner can be arranged if organised in advance, Wester Camusvrachan is situated in the middle of a variety of walks from low level to mountains over 3000 ft (munros) The landscape has many ancient pine trees and a huge variety of flora / fauna, wild and bird life. The Lyon offers trout and salmon fishing and local gamekeepers and hill-guides are available for fishing, stalking and mountain walking, The Lyon can offer canoeing at all grades. We have dry storage for canoes and bicycles. Bridge of Balgie tearoom, post office and shop is two miles west. So you do not have to go far for an excellent lunch, stock up on supplies or send home a postcard of your adventure. James is a professional fiddle player so if you want a toe tapping evening he can let you know where to go or you can book him for a private soiree. Out of the glen the towns of Aberfeldy and Killin can offer golf, horse riding, water sports, rafting, sailing and canyoning. Historical buildings and places abound. Delight your senses with art galleries, pottery and a horn carver and our many fine quality coffee/tea rooms/book shops/shopping at various boutiques including the famous House of Bruar.
