Welcome to Vatersay House, our homely Retreat.
Vatersay House, bespoke designed, was built in 2004 on de-crofted land in Glenhinnisdal.

During your stay, we offer to provide as much help as we can, to make your visit to Skye as enjoyable as possible. The Sun Room, Gardens, Lounge (with TV and Library area) are available for you to use throughout your stay.

Your fully furnished Double Bedroom has uninterrupted countryside views and is fully equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and satellite TV with DVD player.

The En-Suite Bathroom has a full size bath, shower, toilet, washbasin, bathroom scales, electric razor power point and a heated towel rail.

You can relax as we serve you your breakfast in our Sun Room with fabulous views overlooking the Glen and surrounding hills. We normally serve breakfast between 8am and 9am, but any other times are available on request. Your choice of breakfast is freshly cooked to order and we use (where possible) locally sourced organic meat, fish, eggs and fruit. Our bread and preserves are all homemade.

Our Sun Room is the ideal place to spot some of the local wildlife including many species of wild birds, who love to use our bird feeding station. We also have Sea Eagles locally, which sometimes fly up and down the Glen searching for the perfect updraft or the next snack. A stunning sight!

The Lounge and Library area has a TV and a large selection of books and music available for you to enjoy. Our wood burning stove is set in a large fireplace and complemented by full central heating.
Apart from the selection of leaflets detailing all the main attractions, we also offer some special folders giving details of local walks and information on suggested motoring touring routes. These will help you make the most of your stay on this lovely island.

After a day out, you may wish to take advantage of our heated utility room for the drying of wet outer clothing, footwear and bikers attire etc. Also, we can offer a Laundry service for you (washing and drying) if required for a small additional cost. Of course, an iron and ironing board is available for you to use, at all times.
