The Royal Arch Bar

The Royal Arch Bar

EatScotland's independent assessor said:

"The Royal Arch is attractive on approach and is situated in a pleasant area of Broughty Ferry."

"The restaurant and bar area had a busy atmosphere and was very clean. The staff were well organised and the food was wholesome and plentiful."

"An extensive choice, ranging from light dishes such as baguettes, to more substantial courses such as curries, pastas and grills. A good balance was offered between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes."

Lentil Soup with Crusty Bread
"The soup had a wholesome lentil flavour and had been well balanced with the other ingredients of carrot, onion and potato.

Beer Battered Haddock with Lemon & Tartare Sauce
"The battered haddock, chips and salad were served on a white oval plave with a small dish of tartare sauce. The thick haddock portion was of good quality and had been well cooked and freshly prepared."

Bread & Butter Pudding with Whipped Cream
"The bread and butter pudding was centrally placed in a white bowl with some towers of whipped cream to the side and a zigzag of caramel sauce. The pudding had a crunchy top and a soft centre."
