Carradale Hotel Restaurant

The hotel restaurant offers dining in a candlelit, vaulted, wood-panelled room, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere, and a daily changing menu. With fresh Carradale-landed seafood (langoustines, scallops, turbot, hake and monkfish to name just a few), Argyll lamb, wild venison and local game being our specialities, we aim to offer Scottish cuisine with a modern twist, backed up with attentive service and an extensive wine list
EatScotlands independent assessor said
"A daily changing set menu concentrating on local fresh produce with fish featuring strongly."
Smoked Seafood Mousse
"The smoked elements of the mouse were masked by the cream, so the taste came through due to the combination and quantity of fish used, and was complemented by the smoked salmon casing. Well-prepared mouse that had been chilled in advance to let the flavours infuse."
Fresh Fruit Pancakes with Glayva Cream
"The pear, raspberries and apple retained their individual texture in the cooking, and the pancakes cut easily. The whipped cream had the light touch of Glayva that suited the dish. The concept was good with the individual flavours and colours working well."
